Christine Parsons - Design Director
Award-winning designer Chris Parsons set up Hallam Garden Design in 1997. She first gained an honours degree in Art & Design and later trained in Garden Design at RHS Garden Harlow Carr in Harrogate. She is a life-long gardener and still maintains her own large garden in Sheffield. Chris is uniquely qualified in the North of England and Midlands being a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers since 2002 and a Registered Landscape Designer with the BALI since 2005.
Nigel
joined Hallam Garden Design in 2003 from a career as Project Manager in
the IT industry. As a scientist and IT expert he designs lighting schemes
in collaboration with the lead designer, creates 3D computer generated representations
of the gardens for presentation meetings, as well as providing administrative
and technical support to the business.

Helen qualified in Garden Design at Askham Bryan College in 2000 and has been designing gardens from her office in North Yorkshire since then. She is a history graduate and has special interest and expertise in planting design with particular reference to English natives. Helen joined Hallam Garden Design in 2006 and has enabled us to extend both our geographical range and our planting expertise. Helen also writes regularly for The English Garden magazine.
Rebecca gained an honours degree in Fine Art (Sheffield) in 2004. She has been working with us since 2006, graduating with distinction from the Garden Art & Design diploma course at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2008. Becky is doing some great work for us, both from our office in Sheffield and from her base in East Yorkshire.

Gardens are usually attached to buildings in some way and we find increasingly that our experience ideally suits us to advising clients about how the two might best work together. Phil has acted as a consultant to the business since its beginnings in 1997. He is a nationally respected figure in his industry with many publications to his name, several under the RICS banner. His advice is invaluable in many areas such as planning law, damp proofing, building structures etc.
